Always the best food & service

I stopped in 1/2 hr prior to closing 2 weeks ago. Excellent service and really enjoyed the egg, bacon and cheese on a bagel. Will stop in to try lunch, menu looks great. Cute place, pleasant waitress.

Its hard to find a place that still makes food this good and from scratch. Mary is the best waitress we've ever had. she is 70 years old and runs harder than the 20 year olds. I cant say one bad thing about this restaurant

Good breakfast at reasonable price. Staff is friendly and attentive, and I am never disappointed.

Excellent food (my favorite is their corn beef hash). I have gone there on several occasions and always left satisfied and full. If you order bacon, ask for it to be crispy.

Waited an hour for an omelette to go.

I think the food is ok. I really enjoy the special pancakes. But the service here has always been a problem since they opened. Everything takes forever. The wait staff has always been very friendly but you don't even care after waiting so long for your food.

Large open room with booths. Although not a cozy environment the food is excellent. Sausage, spinach and cheese omelet was delish.

Great place, clean environment, good service, great omelette, girlfriend did not like the pancake. Too thick and not soft. Overall good place for breakfast.

Mary is the best waitress every...hands down. She makes going to Emeralds a fun time!

Local breakfast and brunch hot-spot. They have the usual breakfast fare. Prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and generally attentive. Unlike other small brunch restaurants in the area, they generally have enough seating even on weekend mornings.

My Friday morning breakfast spot! Mary & Kim have been taking care of me on Friday mornings for many years. Good food, good service.

After 45 minutes of waiting for my food to be made, I left without eating!

So comfy and cozy. Comfort food so delicious and home cooked food.

A solid 5. Great find near my hotel. The 3 egg veggie omelette is chock full of fresh vegetables and cheese. Plenty of leftovers for another breakfast at work. The side of bacon was totally worth it. The home fries were cooked just right and not greasy. The rye toast from NYC is to die for. Kevin's coffee is very good. The server is very friendly and the kitchen is prompt. She did the follow up which is hard to find in most places these days. The ambiance is just right.

We had the best meal here!!! Apple fosters french toast and a western omelette with turkey home fries and toast!!! We gobbled it up so fast !!! I would say go! Go! Go! Best waitresses ever!!!!

My husband and I went there for the first time over the weekend. We ordered very simple food and it took 40 minutes to get our plates. They were out of one item and didn't tell us until bringing out all of the food. My husband's french toast had hair in it. Not only did the restaurant not deduct or offer to make anything new, when we pointed out some of the issues politely, the manager completely blew it off. Then they tried to charge us for the item they had run out of. It was a complete disaster and there were no apologies from the staff or management. When we tried to tip the waitress she said she was paying for our food and was immensely dismissive.

Great menu selection and clean place.

I occasionally come here for breakfast. Never once had a problem. They have always treated my daughter and I like locals even though we are not. It's got a small town atmosphere. The wait staff is the best part of the place if you ask me. The breakfast is not ground breaking but does the job. The pricing is middle of the ground. Evey time I'm in South Windsor (which isn't that often) we come in here for a quick bite.

Emeralds is very nice, they make their own hash which is very delicious and not too salty. They do the eggs exactly the way you want them. Pancakes - perfect. The service is very friendly. If you happen to get Mary as your server, you will be very happy.

Went in on Saturday for breakfast and it was delicious! The bacon and cheese omelette was perfect, the hash browns were super tasty and cooked to perfection. The service was great and the eggs arrived quick.
